Jan Jagaran Youth Club (JJYC) is a non-governmental, non-profit making, independent organization working in Eight District of Nepal (Bara, Parsa, Rautahat Dhanusa, Siraha, Morang, Dang, & Bardiya). It is led and managed by youth committed to the development of Terai/Madhes region of Nepal. A group of youth from Telkuwa VDC, driven by passion to bring change into Terai/Madhesh community, came together to form the organization in 1998.
Over the past 18 years, JJYC worked on themes including Education, Peace & Security, Legal Aid support for judicial remedy, Democracy & human rights, Poverty alleviation, Entrepreneurship, Health & sanitation and Climate change, to list a few, with funding support from various organization.
Currently, JJYC is implementing ten projects across three districts. It has the strength of 25 full time staff, 7 part time staffs and 47 volunteers.
JJYC is governed by General Assembly which is held every year. It has a 5 member Executive Board to run the programs of the organization. JJYC has a total of 13 general members. The day to day implementation, monitoring and planning is done by JJYC responsible staff.
