Project: Strengthening Community Resilience Project

The "Strengthening Community Resilience Project," implemented by JJYC Bara with funding support from Islamic Relief Canada and Islamic Relief Nepal, is a critical initiative focused on enhancing the well-being and resilience of communities in two municipalities of Bara District. The project addresses three key areas: Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH); Protection; and Livelihood Promotion. Through its WASH component, the project aims to improve access to clean water and sanitation facilities, promote hygiene practices, and reduce waterborne diseases. In the Protection aspect, the project emphasizes safeguarding vulnerable groups, particularly women and children, by raising awareness about their rights, providing support services, and creating safe environments. The Livelihood Promotion component is designed to empower local communities by providing skills training, improving agricultural practices, and supporting small enterprises, thereby enhancing economic stability and reducing poverty. By integrating these critical areas, the project not only addresses immediate needs but also builds long-term resilience, enabling communities to thrive despite challenges.
